1. About PlayerSide
These Terms & Conditions govern your use of the PlayerSide website, platform and services.
PlayerSide provides a sports networking and matching service designed to connect athletes, coaches and clubs and to help users discover relevant sporting, team and recruitment opportunities.
By registering with PlayerSide, purchasing a membership or using our services, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.
2. Eligibility and Registration
You must provide accurate and up-to-date information when registering with PlayerSide. You are responsible for ensuring that the information contained in your profile is truthful and does not infringe the rights of others.
PlayerSide reserves the right to reject, suspend or remove profiles containing false, misleading, inappropriate or fraudulent information.
If you are under 18 years of age, registration and use of paid PlayerSide services may require the involvement or consent of a parent or legal guardian where required by applicable law.
3. PlayerSide's Role
PlayerSide facilitates connections between athletes, coaches and clubs based on the information, preferences and requirements provided by users.
While PlayerSide may review profiles, identify potential matches and facilitate introductions, we cannot guarantee that a suitable match, team placement, recruitment opportunity, scholarship, contract or other sporting opportunity will be found.
Users remain responsible for evaluating potential matches and deciding whether to enter into any sporting, employment, contractual or other arrangement with another user or third party.
4. Premium Memberships and Payments
PlayerSide offers paid Premium Memberships for athletes and for coaches and clubs. The applicable price, billing frequency and included services are displayed on the website and during checkout.
Premium Memberships are billed on a recurring monthly basis through Stripe unless otherwise stated at the time of purchase.
By purchasing a Premium Membership, you authorise the applicable membership fee to be charged automatically at each billing interval until the subscription is cancelled.
Payments are processed by Stripe and may be subject to Stripe’s applicable terms and policies.
5. Cancellation of Premium Memberships
You may cancel your Premium Membership at any time through the Stripe Customer Portal accessible via the “Manage Membership” link on the PlayerSide website.
Unless otherwise stated, cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You will retain access to the applicable Premium Membership services until the end of that billing period, and no further recurring membership fees will be charged after cancellation takes effect.
6. Refunds and Billing Issues
If you believe you have been charged incorrectly or experience a problem with a payment, please contact PlayerSide as soon as possible.
Any refund requests will be assessed in accordance with the circumstances of the individual case and any rights available under applicable law.
Cancelling a Premium Membership prevents future recurring charges after the cancellation becomes effective but does not automatically result in a refund of fees already paid.
7. User Conduct
You agree to use PlayerSide in a lawful and respectful manner and only for legitimate sporting, networking and recruitment purposes.
You must not use PlayerSide to provide false or misleading information, impersonate another person or organisation, harass other users, send unsolicited or inappropriate communications, misuse personal information obtained through the platform, or engage in fraudulent or unlawful activity.
PlayerSide reserves the right to restrict, suspend or terminate access to its services where these Terms & Conditions are violated or where necessary to protect SportSphere, its users or third parties.
8. Profile Content
You are responsible for the information, images, videos, links and other content you provide to PlayerSide.
By submitting content to PlayerSide, you confirm that you have the necessary rights to use and share that content and grant PlayerSide permission to use it as reasonably necessary to provide the platform, matching and recruitment services.
PlayerSide may remove content that is inaccurate, inappropriate, unlawful or infringes the rights of another person or organisation.
9. Relationships Between Users
PlayerSide facilitates introductions and connections between users but is not a party to agreements subsequently entered into between athletes, coaches, clubs or other third parties.
Users are responsible for conducting their own checks and assessing the suitability, reliability and legitimacy of other users before entering into any agreement or arrangement.
Any terms relating to compensation, employment, team participation, travel, accommodation, scholarships or other arrangements must be agreed directly between the relevant parties.
10. Availability of Services
PlayerSide aims to provide reliable access to its website and services but cannot guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability at all times.
We may modify, update, temporarily suspend or discontinue parts of the platform where reasonably necessary for maintenance, technical improvements, security or the development of our services.
Where reasonably possible, we will aim to minimise disruption to users.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, PlayerSide is not responsible for the actions, conduct, representations or decisions of athletes, coaches, clubs or other third parties using the platform.
PlayerSide does not guarantee the accuracy of information provided by users or the outcome of any introduction, recruitment process, team placement, scholarship opportunity or other arrangement facilitated through the platform.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits any liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited under applicable law.
12. Changes to These Terms & Conditions
PlayerSide may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time to reflect changes to our services, business model or applicable legal requirements.
The current version will be published on this page with an updated “Last updated” date. Where changes materially affect existing users or paid memberships, we will provide appropriate notice where required by applicable law.
